Well I screwed up again! I need a wiring diagram for my ignition switch. I was removing my wiring in prep for the painless harness and I removed the ignitin switch from my dash cluster and didnt mark wire colors or positions on the pins from the back of the switch and I cant find the info in the painless kit. HELLLLLLLLPPPPPP!! I would prefer not to have to spend anymore cash so if anyone has a free diagram they could e-mail or knows of a web site with the diagram please let me know!! Thanks a HUGE AMOUNT for any help!!

where did you bought the wiring diagram for your ignition switch? can you help me find one? thanks.

I have been wiring up my tail lights, and I seriously want some backup light! Ive been thinking about using a switch that detects when the clutch is engaged from a later model truck. A 94 Ford F-150 I worked on had one, and I was thinking about using using something similar. Have any of you come up with anything better?

apology for this one i just think that much better to open an old thread than making a new one. i just in need some back up light and i dont know where to find one. can you help me on this? thanks a lot.

I went to the junk yard sunday looking for stock wheels for Galaxie. I went over and checked out the truck stuff. Sitting at the end of the row was a 56 F250, it had a inline 6, there was a lot of stuff already gone, doors, grill, gauges. One thing i did get was the defrost deflector and both defrost ducts. Now I have all the parts too install my ac kit.

If any body is interested, it was the santa fe springs ecology.

im searching for the ducts but didnt fine one.. im looking into it since lastweek. please let me know if you know where to find one. thanks

Keith, I hope I`m not too late with a reply. Do you have your truck running yet? There`s several things that can cause the problems you described, including bad fuel or faulty ignition parts. As for a transmission, that all depends on what you want. Both the Turbo 350 and the 700R4 can be fitted in that truck fairly easily. The 350 trans has been around forever, they`re very simple and reliable. The 700 is a little more complicated, but with the overdrive they can achive better gas mileage with the same rear end. Both will bolt right up to the 230 six, but you will need a rear crossmember and the driveshaft will likely need to be shortened. Hope that helps.

I have a buddy that just purchased a 2500 Chevrolet Duramax. The previous owner had a hide-a-way goose neck hitch installed. So my friend is thinking about changing over to a goose neck for his 28 ft fifth wheel instead of having the rails installed. Anyone have any opinion on this. I personally have only ever used a Reese fifth wheel trailer hitch, so I have no useful information for him. I told him I would put up a post and get some opinions. Pros or Cons. Thanks

I can get along with the hitch lump, having to ram it upward and then fiddling the release to get it out again. What is driving me starkers is the damm plastic cover. The screws are totally underneath the bumper, where if you don`t lay on your back you can`t see to get a tool into the slots. The slots are too big for a screwdriver and start to deform, because you just can`t get them to turn and release; particularly while you`re standing on your head to see them. They couldn`t have put the tab underneath and the screws in the vertical bumper; oh no, that would have ruined the "appearance"!!! Does anybody have a way to release that hitch covers plate in some better way then those damm plastic screws???

My 1969 C20 longbed has a two-piece driveshaft. It keeps shacking a little; after about 3-4 months, the center shaft bearing cracks then falls apart leaving me with a out-of-control two-piece driveshaft. I wanted to know if there is a one-piece shaft that will fit the C20 longbed. If so, are there any modifications?

i bought mine at ebay. try to look for a hood in there i think they hae a good parts for cars and trucks. since i trust the store.
